increased rapidly during late adolescence, remained relatively stable from age 21 to age 24 with a prevalence rate of almost 50% and then decreased again to 39% at age 29. Cannabis use was also common, with about 25% of the 16-year-olds using it at least once in the month prior to the interview. Cannabis use then decreased steadily to 13% at age 29.
