Demographic characteristics and baseline substance use patterns for participants in the SOTA and LRB prevention groups at Baseline (n=231) are shown in Table 1. There were no group differences in gender or ethnicity, but, by design, there were significant differences on SRE scores across the groups. Despite our matching process, there were also significant differences on alcohol use, though post-hoc analyses showed that these differences were only between the low versus high LR groups and not between prevention programs (LRB versus SOTA). We therefore included Baseline/Fall alcohol use (days drinking and drinks per day) in the analytic models in order to control for baseline group differences in alcohol use.
