Nevertheless, visual cognition seems seamless across the visual field, even when eye movements switch the remembered location of objects between visual hemifields. In such situations, are memory representations transferred from one cerebral hemisphere to the other, or are they ‘‘bound’’ to the hemisphere where they were initially stored? If transferred, do transferred WMs use the same neural representation as ones induced by feedforward visual inputs, and what are the mechanisms underlying transfer?
