Besides GRID1, top markers mapped to within or near NPAS3, which potentially regulates genes involved in neurogenesis and has been previously associated with psychiatric disorders (Pickard et al., 2006; Huang et al., 2010; Nurnberger et al., 2014); and SV2B, a synaptic vesicle protein-encoding gene implicated in cognitive processes in model systems (Detrait et al., 2014; Olson et al., 2015).
