pH explained 12.0% of the variation in %P from the MRC-UK brain bank (p = 2.3 × 10−9 ). (Fig. 4). However, as with RIN, this correlation was highly dependent on the six individuals with low pH < 5.90. When these samples were excluded from the analysis no significant correlation was obtained.
