Also, monocyte-derived mDCs obtained from healthy male and female volunteers shortly after consuming 2mL vodka/kg body weight in a total volume of 300mL orange juice resulting in BACs of 0.095 ± 0.02g/dL, showed reduced ability to induce T cell proliferation in response to allogeneic antigen, super-antigen staphylococcal enterotoxin B, or tetanus toxoid, indicative of impaired antigen presentation (Szabo, Catalano et al. 2004).
