2002). The LP is similar to the D2 strain in terms of ethanol consumption (low; Yoneyama et al. 2008); to our knowledge, there are no reports describing ethanol withdrawal in the LP strain. However, acute ethanol withdrawal in the closely related 129S1/SvIJ strain (Beck et al. 2000) is moderate and similar to that seen in the B6 strain (Fehr et al. 2002).
