Text

The retrospective Self Report of the Effects of Alcohol (SRE) questionnaire regarding the approximate first five times of consuming alcohol was used to determine Baseline SRE5-LR values. SREs record numbers of drinks required for up to 4 effects actually experienced, including feeling any effect, slurring speech, unsteady gaits, and unintended falling asleep (Schuckit and Smith, 2006; Schuckit et al., 2007). The SRE has Cronbach alpha >.85, one-year test-retest reliabilities regarding categorizing an individual as a low responder of >.70, and the 4.5 year test-retest reliabilities of 0.72 (Ray et al., 2010; Schuckit et al., 1997, 2005).
