Additional technical issues need to be considered. The RAI was defined based on the results from the data-driven GICA analysis using a 20-componentsolution.We also performed GICA using component numbers of 25 and 30. The mean spatial cross-correlation between the visually identified DMN, SN, and ECN components and those previously published34 did not significantly differ as a function of dimensionality (P > .50). All of our subsequent RAI calculations and analyses were basedonnetwork maps with the component number set at 20. In addition to differences in the literature on the spatial extent of network components,the nomenclature differs.For example, what we call the ECN has also been labeled the central executive network.15and the frontal-parietal network.11 Their spatial extents are similar and all are task-positive networks; the interchangeability of names does not alter the significance of our findings. Finally,the RAI was based on aspecific3-networkinteractionmodel.22Additional networks may also contribute to the abstinence mechanism.
