matching fetal brains by differentiation. Fetal human brain cells were plated in culture dishes coated with laminin and Poly-L-ornitine. Cells were differentiated into neurons by neuronal differentiation media consist of neurobasal media supplemented with B27, glutamax, BDNF, GDNF, and pen/strep for 1-week for immature neuron cultures and 4-weeks for mature neuron cultures. Immature and mature neurons were characterized by Map2 and synaptophysin immunostaining. Neuronal differentiation and function were monitored electrophysiologically by multielectrode arrays (MEA) measuring local field potentials (LFP) at weeks 1, 2, 3, and 4 post cultures.
