Table 1 provides descriptive statistics of alcohol use outcomes and positive and negative reinforcement by age. Both frequency of alcohol consumption and proportions of AD diagnosis generally increased until early 20’s then tapered off or decreased afterwards. There were 417 (16.3%) individuals with at least one assessment with AD; among them, 114 individuals had AD at all available assessments. The average age at the onset of AD was 22.09 years (SD = 2.76). Of the sample, 2,043 (79.9%) participants reported engagement in binge drinking in the past year at least at one assessment. Means and standard deviations of positive and negative reinforcement mostly remained stable across age.
