To examine potential differences in the patterns of associations across sex and racial groups, we conducted analyses as described above separately for males and females, as well as separately for EA and AA, the two largest racial groups included in the sample. In analyses conducted separately across sex groups, sex was excluded from the model. Similarly, self-reported racial identity was removed from the analytic models when conducting analyses separately for EA and AA.
