Among the 2,225 unique PIP>0.95 SNPs fine-mapped for at least one trait, 223 SNPs were fine-mapped for multiple genetically uncorrelated traits (selecting a different subset of genetically uncorrelated traits for each SNP; Methods), including 55 SNPs fine-mapped for ≥3 genetically uncorrelated traits, indicating pervasive pleiotropy (Extended Data Figure 6, Supplementary Table 15). 118 pleiotropic SNPs resided in coding regions and 93 were non-synonymous (Supplementary Table 15). The 17 SNPs fine-mapped for at least 4 traits are reported in Table 2. Previous studies have reported that genetically uncorrelated traits often share association signals at the same loci32, but did not fine-map those signals to individual SNPs as performed here.
