Table 6 shows that out of 34 Mexican-born subjects who migrated to the U.S, 13 (38.2%) met lifetime criteria for SUD whereas out of 293 Mexican-born subjects who did not migrate and reside in their own country (Mexico) 45 (15.4%) had a lifetime history of SUD. For individuals whose country of residence was the US, 47% (N=31) of the US-born subjects had lifetime SUD while 40% (N=14) of the immigrants met criteria for lifetime SUD.
