Protein 3D structures are not always available for assessment. To overcome this hurdle, canSAR contains several orthogonal assessments for the suitability of targets for therapeutic use and drug discovery. We provide ligand/chemistry-based assessment for 8310 human targets using the chemical and bioactivity information within canSAR. We also calculate the network-based ‘target-likeness’ (27) for 13 467 human targets; as well as the suitability for antibody therapy for all human proteins and identify 3586 targets to be accessible to such biotherapeutics.
