The COVID-19 crisis has forced many to work from home. Remote working is not a new phenomenon, but the extensity due to the COVID-19 pandemic is novel. Transitioning to home offices and using social media applications to interact with colleagues may challenge workers' abilities to set borders between their work and private lives. Private life may be interrupted by work tasks and meetings, whereas work meetings are disturbed by family life. Blurred boundaries between home and work can also lengthen employees’ working hours without additional compensation (Adisa et al., 2017).
