In the previous section we demonstrated that the six parameter model more accurately captures gene-environment interaction effects with the addition of the G2 terms as written in Eq. (3). However, the introduction of additional terms complicates how to test for the significance of an interaction effect. Accordingly, we provide guidelines for evaluating interaction effects here.
