In terms of PA, the best fitting model was a cubic polynomial with all growth parameters varying across individuals (p’s < 0.01) presented in Figure 1C. Smoking group was not found to predict progression of PA either as a main effect or as a moderator of growth parameters (p’s > 0.24). While PA was found to decrease over time, this pattern did not differ between moderate and heavy smokers.
