T2D risk was estimated from the DIAGRAM consortium (a meta-analysis of 3 T2D genome-wide association scans [http://www.well.ox.ac.uk/DIAGRAM/], which included 4,107 T2D cases and 5,187 controls). The 3 populations were the Wellcome Trust Case Control Consortium (WTCCC), the Finland-United States Investigation of NIDDM [Non-Insulin-Dependent Diabetes Mellitus] Genetics (FUSION), and the Diabetes Genetics Initiative (DGI).
