Text

The UPPS Negative Urgency subscale (Whiteside and Lynam, 2001; Cyders and Smith, 2008) is a 12-item self-report measure of the tendency to act impulsively during negative affective states. Scores range from 12 to 48, and higher scores indicate higher levels of negative urgency. In prior work (Whiteside and Lynam, 2001), the Negative Urgency subscale displayed good internal consistency and construct validity.
