BMI measured within one year of SRE-5 assessment was included as a covariate to control for the association between body size and sensitivity to the effects of alcohol. BMI is calculated as weight in kilograms divided by height in meters squared (kg/m2). Mean age at BMI assessment was 17.6 (SD 1.5, range 13.6–20.3).
