Add 24.6 g of sodium acetate and dissolve it in 90 ml of ddH2O. Adjust the pH to 5.2 with 1 M HCl, and then add ddH2O to adjust the final volume to 100 ml. Sterilize the solution by autoclaving. This solution can be stored indefinitely at room temperature (20–25 °C).
