However, it should also be mentioned that even though the CSD method has amply demonstrated numerous merits in terms of clinical/diagnostic applications, electrophysiological studies on several clinical conditions, (e.g., substance use disorders other than alcoholism, obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, etc.), have yet to exploit the benefits of this technique and hence there are no CSD studies available in the literature for these disorders.
