Analyzing developmental and cell-type specific expression levels required selection of significantly associated genes for each disorder. We calculated adjusted P-values based on the Benjamini and Hochberg (BH) procedure using p.adjust function in R. We then selected genes with two FDR thresholds (FDR<0.01 for GWAS with >20 GWS hits, SCZ, BD, MDD, AD; FDR<0.1 for GWAS with < 20 GWS hits, ADHD, ASD, PD, MS, ALS) for as significantly associated brain disorder genes.
