We next decomposed externalizing behavior into aggressive and delinquent behavior. Results for aggressive behavior were comparable to those for overall externalizing: There was no significant main effect of genotype (p=0.309). Physical discipline was significantly and positively associated with aggressive behavior (p<0.001). The GxE interaction was not significant (p=0.275), but trends were again in the expected direction (Figure 1B), with higher parameter estimates for the effect of physical discipline on males carrying risk alleles (β=0.367 vs. β=0.253).
