Only a handful of studies have reported neuroimaging findings in subjects with PEMCS. Neuroimaging studies in subjects with PEMCS point to brain region-specific and gender-specific effects of nicotine. The ensuing paragraphs briefly review the current literature on neuroimaging findings in subjects with PEMCS.
