and neuropsychological data on close to 10,000 participants (Table 1) who have also been carefully assessed with diagnostic interviews, behavioral questionnaires, and for whom DNA samples have been collected—all of which are available to the research community. As the complexity of genetic analyses has grown, so too have the tools used in the investigation of brain function. Building upon the past and looking towards the future, COGA is in a unique position to continue to contribute to the field by further investigating the neurophysiological and neuropsychological brain function data and its critical role in linking genetic influences on neural systems to the development and course of AUD and related disorders.
