Thus, any assortative mating for aggression does not appear to have resulted in severe overestimates of shared environment when considering these studies en masse. It is possible, on the other hand, that genetic influences themselves have been underestimated and could be larger than the 50% or so than these meta-analyses and our summary suggest.
