Therefore, in this study, those who: (1) had an AUDIT-K score >12 and <26; (2) had drunk four (female) or five (male) glasses in one sitting during the last 2 weeks; and (3) drank more than two (female) or three (male) glasses per hour were included in the BD group. Those who: (1) scored ≤8 points on the AUDIT-K; (2) had not drunk four (female) or five (male) glasses in one sitting during the last 2 weeks; and (3) drank less than two (female) or three (male) glasses per hour were included in the non-BD group (Barbor and Grant, 1989; Kim et al., 1999).
