groups, many NSCs remained round, but a subpopulation of the cells formed angular cytoplasmic expansions, some with fiber extensions. In the migrated zone, more differentiated cells migrated out of neurosphere, some retaining Sox2 expression (Figure 1D) and acquired glial or neuronal morphology. The NSCs in the periphery and those that migrated out of the neurospheres were often stained with GFAP (Figure 1F) and Hu (not shown). The epigenetic marks and their modifications were present in the undifferentiated neurospheres during transition to each differentiation zone— the core and periphery of the neurosphere, and the migrated region (outside of the neurosphere).
