Most cell type-trait associations were attenuated using human single-nuclei data compared with mouse single-cell RNA-seq data, suggesting that the transcripts that are lost by single-nuclei RNA-seq are important for a large number of disorders and/or that the controlled condition of mouse experiments provide more accurate gene expression quantifications (see Discussion and Figure S19).
