measure. The WF for samples in Figure 2A and Figure 2E are −0.09 and 0.05, respectively, while the GCWF for them are −0.09 and 0.04, respectively. These measures are applicable to many different types of arrays that measure signal intensities across genome, including array-CGH, SNP genotyping arrays and whole-genome oligonucleotide arrays. Since the magnitude of genomic waves is highly correlated with GC content, we utilize the GCWF in our subsequent analyses.
