Text

Compared with NBTs and human astrocytes, the expression level of GTSE1 in both glioma tissues and cells, respectively, was significantly increased (Figures 6A and 6B). The Gene Expression Profiling Interactive Analaysis (GEPIA) database shows that GTSE1 is upregulated in glioblastoma and high expression of GTSE1 was positively associated with poor prognosis in patients with glioma (Figures S1E and S1F). Knockdown of GTSE1 inhibited glioma cell proliferation and promoted apoptosis compared with those in the GTSE1−-NC group (Figures 6C and 6D). Moreover, the numbers of migrating and invading cells was reduced in the GTSE1− group compared with those in the GTSE1-NC group (Figure 6E).
