For PRS analysis, we utilized phenotype and genotype data of the BBJ Project58,59. All of the calculations related to PRS were conducted on the RIKEN computing server. BBJ is a biobank that collaboratively collects DNA and serum samples from 12 medical institutions in Japan. This project recruited approximately 200,000 patients with the diagnosis of at least one of 47 diseases. Informed consent was obtained from all participants by following the protocols approved by their institutional ethical committees. We obtained approval from the ethics committees of the RIKEN Center for Integrative Medical Sciences and the Institute of Medical Sciences at the University of Tokyo.
