is certainly not ‘close enough’ as a proxy for alcohol-related problems in examining its genetic associations with other conditions. Among those of AA, potentially due in part to having reduced power but also because of ‘noisy’ heritability estimates (Bulik-Sullivan et al., 2015a), associations were generally non-significant, with the exception of a positive correlation (not passing FDR adjustment) between PTSD Re-Exp symptoms and AUDIT-C, which was not observed for EA individuals.
