Figure S34 (left) shows the signal of association in the PRDM9 region for a meta analysis of all the European cohorts (GPC excluded). When only the 618 informative parents were used (top) we found a minimum P-value of at SNP rs2162866. The addition of 466 individuals lead to a modest increase in signal () at the same SNP. Figure S34 (right) plots the when all individuals are used against the when only informative individuals are used, demonstrating a consistent increase in signal in the region. This suggests that our method is indeed detecting true recombination events.
