sequences containing the cloned SNPs were amplified using PCR primers that also incorporated sample barcodes, unique molecular indices (UMI), and Illumina-sequencing adapters. The resulting PCR products were sequenced using one lane of Illumina HiSeq 4000 using a 75 bp paired-end protocol. The detailed experimental protocol is provided in the Supplementary Materials.
