We randomly sampled n = 11,995 individuals from the UKB dataset, oversampling individuals with AS events, leading to 2065 individuals with AS (of which 889 were also IS events) and 9935 non-AS referents. This subset was used for developing GRSs, and was excluded from all further analysis. Five individuals were later removed due to withdrawn consent.
