QuantiGene is a technique for mRNA expression quantification. Its strength is that it is a non-PCR based technique that is therefore not subject to the systematic biases that PCR could create when applied to degraded RNA. This technique has the potential to be used in place of qRT-PCR (Canales et al. 2006; Hall et al. 2011).
