Some testing options are directly available to customers and do not require physician involvement (e.g., 23 and Me, Matrix Genomics) and others, which call for a physician order (e.g., Genelex, AssureRx). Whereas this list and perhaps details of the individual platforms will certainly change, highlighting some similarities and differences may be helpful in identifying sources of variability in available resources and how they may relate to specific clinical scenarios.
