For example, whether alcohol can be obtained legally (Wagenaar and Toomey, 2015) and parental monitoring (Dick et al. 2009; Kendler et al. 2011) are important factors in shaping the context of alcohol use and, in turn, the genetic factors that are associated with alcohol use.
