Text

The goal of this study was to leverage phenotypic and genotypic data of two phenotypically-related and frequently co-occurring neurodevelopmental disorders, TS and OCD, to explore the hypothesis that these disorders share common genetic susceptibility variants by: 1) combining the samples in a joint GWAS, 2) examining their patterns of eQTL/mQTL enrichment, and 3) exploring cross-disorder polygenic signals. Although limited by small sample sizes, the results of these diverse analytic approaches suggest a complex genetic relationship between TS and OCD.
