Because of the low minor allele frequency for rs1229984 and the small number of subjects homozygous for the minor allele (less than 0.5% in each study), the G/A heterozygous subjects and A/A homozygous subjects were collapsed into a single group for analysis and compared to G/G homozygous subjects.
