the overlap in genetic contributions to subcortical volumes and OCD (Hibar et al., 2018); significant positive concordance was found between OCD risk variants and variants associated with greater nucleus accumbens and putamen volumes. Further work is needed to expand on these preliminary findings. While the combined imaging‐genetics database is still small, a polygenic risk score approach may be a useful first step.
