We assessed the overlap between our results and two common COPD comorbidities, coronary artery disease and osteoporosis (through bone mineral density traits). We downloaded information on genome-wide significant (P < 5×10−8) associations with these comorbidities as reported in the NHGRI-EBI GWAS Catalog42. We assessed the association statistics of these comorbid trait loci in our Stage 1 meta-analysis results.
