The Psychiatric Research Interview for Substance and Mental Disorders (PRISM) is a highly reliable (Hasin et al., 2006b) and valid (Torrens et al., 2004) semi-structured clinician-administered interview designed to evaluate current and lifetime DSM-IV disorders. The PRISM was administered by clinicians who received extensive, structured training and supervision, as described elsewhere (Hasin et al., 2002, 2006b).
