Evaluation of model fit for the one-factor model was based on the root mean square error of approximation (RMSEA) and the comparative fit index (CFI). For RMSEA, smaller values indicate better fit, with a commonly accepted threshold of <.05. Values of CFI above 0.90 and 0.95 are generally accepted as reflecting adequate and good fit, respectively (Hu and Bentler, 1999). All analyses were conducted in Mplus 6.0.
