Fifth, there is evidence that adolescents engage in rash, ill-advised behaviors both when they are distressed and when they are unusually happy (Steinberg, 2004). And sixth, Cyders et al. (2007a) felt that the content domain of positive mood-based rash action was not represented in the “impulsivity” measures factor analyzed by Whiteside and Lynam (2001).
