and following the injection. The 6-OHDA was diluted in ascorbic acid (catalog no. A5960; Sigma-Aldrich) at a concentration of 6 μg/μL. A total volume of 0.25 μL of 6-OHDA, corresponding to a dose of 1.5 μg of the neurotoxin, was injected into the right mfb. The sham-lesioned group was composed of 4 mice that only received injections of the vehicle (0.02% ascorbic acid). After surgery, the skin was sutured and mice were allowed to recover.
