Details of the methods for construction of cDNA libraries have been described previously [1]. Briefly, total RNA was extracted from homogenized human postmortem hippocampal or dissected rat hippocampal tissue using guanidinium thiocyanate and phenol-based RNA extraction solution and purified on RNeasy spin columns. mRNA was isolated by oligo (dT)25 beads and fragmented. The fragmented mRNA was reverse transcribed and cDNA libraries were synthesized.
